My Only Aim

MY ONLY AIM!

I must continue to learn that trials will inevitably come, and when they do, I must choose to believe that I have been given a gift. My greatest trials can become my most significant victories. Why? Because I am formed through the fires of trial, and I become something I otherwise would have never been had they not come my way. It is in the difficulties and struggles of life that I encounter the grace of God in new ways and learn to trust in his provision and care.

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24, NIV)

Father, may my only aim in life be to finish the race You have called me to run, trusting that every trial is simply an opportunity to more deeply encounter Your loving care, through Christ my Lord. Amen.
